All,
Just talked to my guide in Alasaka, he said they are starting to see quite a few bears, anybody else out and about that would like to comment on what they are seeing? I am hunting this year in PWS area.

Very little sign around Valdez yet. I started setting the shrimp pots and the snow levels are still too high 12-15 miles out of port. The southern exposures are still quite covered.

I went flying down to the foothills of the Alaska Range last week. Saw lots of sign down low of bears being out. Most of the southern faces are melted off. Did get a fleeting glimpse of a dark bear unable to tell is it was a black or chocolate grizz. But he sure seemed shy of the plane. May have been one that they relocated last year from around McGrath to that area.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
