Vhunter,
Here's a test load I shot but never have refined yet. Just can't seem to find the time. I was hoping you would get quite a few replies to your question so I could learn some more. This is with wheel weight lead with added antimony and tin so I estimate they were some where around 16BH or so.
Caliber: 375 H & H
Amount: 10 Rounds
Bullet: Lyman 375449, Weight: 264 Gr.
Powder: IMR 4895, 43 grains (Test load, first time trying).
Primer: CCI 250 Magnum Rifle (Note: Book called for CCI-200 but I had already loaded with CCI 250 and decided to use them since pressure was much lower than any jacketed rounds shot through it)
Case: (R - P)
Crimp: Crimped bullets where case was just short of the 2nd grease groove.
Distance: 100 Yards
Grouping: Maximum spread for 10 rounds was just over 3 inches but 8 rounds would fit into a 1 ½ inch circle. Five rounds touched at no more than ¾ inch group. A better shooter may get better groups than me with this load but I was pretty happy. Pretty mild recoil, really mild for a 375 H&H. I like this load a lot
Probably running at about 1800 fps. No leading what so ever. A load with a lot of fun and potential. Only problem was the impact was over 5 inches to the right and low from where the 260 grn Noslers impact. Seems like a lot but maybe its the shooter and not the equipment. I plan to play with this load some more when I get the chance.
