Hi,
I have a Wycliffe model 76 in 45-70. It is no longer manufacured and I am unable too find any information on this fine rifle. Does anyone have any experience with this gun,or info about it???

I thank you for the history of this fine rifle.Mine appears to be a standard model with a checkered stock. It is one of the best shooting rifles that I own.

Hey there fellers, I'm the proud owner of no. 1747, a Deluxe Grade in .30-06.  Likewise, mine has the German silver grip cap, but no checkering.  Great shooting rifle, really likes 165 gr. Noslers.  I bought mine in late '79, I think, and when I tried to buy another early in '80 (or '81, CRS is settin' in) was told they were out of business.

I'm getting ready to have mine rebarreled to .40-65, and restock her to shoot steel critters with.  Probably send her down to North Carolina and get Mr. Hurst to scratch some designs on the action while I'm at it.
