Looking at the Simmons Whitetail Expedition also (1.75-6). Does anybody know what type of warranty there is on these? Are they any good?

Thats a link to simmons warranty info but it doesn't say which scopes have which warranty. There is a customer service number on that link, you might try calling them.

They are covered by Simmons limited lifetime warranty.  Basically, they will repair or replace the product, their option.  I have had dealings with Simmons repair/warranty department and have always been satisfied.

"Are they any good?"

Probably some of the best optics for the money.
