Do Dah, Do Dah

:-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D I got home yesterday to see a note from the UPS man on my door.  I then called UPS and ask them to change the address to my work address.  So tomorrow I will get my Handi back with the 357 barrel, the 20ga ultra slug hunter and a stainless huntsman barrel.  Of course the bad part is I spent most of the night thinking about it so now I will have another sleepless night, who cares, it will be fun.  I shipped it out the last week of March, got my confirmation on April 1st and they had it shipped back with all three barrels by April 28th, pretty good turnaround :-D .

Now the only problem.  I am going turkey hunting this weekend but now I have my new toys to play with to  oh what to do, what to do.
I must be crazy.

Hey, sounds like you're ready for the postal match!!!

Do you have scope for all those barrels yet?

You should have gotten a 12 gauge barrel, then you could of used a new toy for turkey hunting.  Pattern it really quick tomorrow night, hunt the next morning!

Sounds like you got a good variety though.  I'll of course offer to help you break them in.     Oh, and I still have a few boxes of different 223 loads that my 223 ruger doesn't like for you to have.  Even have some of the premium stuff (win supreme black box 40 gr moly).

later,

:-D The UPS man just stop back by.  Seems he found my box behind some golf clubs so I get my gun back today.   Have to admit the stainless huntsman looks pretty sweet with the wood in lieu of the plastic that they sell them with.  Well time to run these home and then back to the office to try and get something done while I think about going home to play    I might just have to run out to the public hunting area and try out that 357 barrel tonight

Later
I must be crazy.

Man, I'm jealous.  I sent my Ultra frame off on April 2nd.  Maybe there'll be a note waiting for me tomorrow when I come home from work :o

HOLY CRAP!! I can't believe it.  I got mine today.  I sent it off one day after 22KHornet, and got it back one day after 22Khornet!!

Now I'm ready to go shoot it if the weather will clear up a little for me.

It is a nice isn't it.  I had kind of forgotten about it, well not forgotten just not been thinking about it quite so much.  Then there it is and 2 weeks early  .  Well I am down on the farm now so tomorrow morning a little turkey hunting and then try out the 357 barrel at the shooting bench, might even take out the crony to see how my 357mag handloads are doing, and if I still have time go do a little bass fishing  jeez I really hate the outdoors

If you have accuracy problems with your favorite .357 load, try using a minimum crimp before you scrap the load for the Handi.  My .357 barrel doesn't like any roll crimp, so I just crimp enough to remove any remaining flare/bell.  Groups went from 5" to less than 2" at 100 yards.  It's a rifle, so think in terms of rifle crimp instead of revolver crimp.

I have tried every weight bullet from 125 gr to 220 gr and so far the most accurate has been 180 gr Hornady XTP's.

Well I don't know what has happened in my case but I sent my Ultra back for warranty work and they received it on 4-2. On 4-6 I sent a check for a .223 bull and an extra scope rail. Called them Thursday and they have not received the check nor has my gun even "made it to the bench" yet. If they haven't gotten the check by 5-6 then I can stop payment with no extra charges. That will be fine I guess, just don't really understand why they haven't even started the warranty work yet. The gun was opening on every shot and I also requested the free trigger job. Maybe they've been too busy getting all of yall's new barrels fitted......THANKS!!!  :)

Wlscott, with all due respect I don't think the reason is "warranty" work. I have found that they are very quick on "warranty" work once they get the gun AND the paperwork. I have a feeling it is something/somebody in the office. For some reason if the work/paperwork doesn't get from the office to the workbench it languishes around in never-never land for a while. Once it gets in line to be worked on it seems the turnaround time is quite reasonable. IMHO of course, and I have been wrong once (or more) before....<><....

Haven't loaded any yet, don't have anything to shoot them in yet so it would just add to the anticipation aggravation right now. Seriously with all the other aquisitions I have been making I had to put the bullets, primers, powder on the back burner for a while. Am gonna try to get them next week tho, IF work allows for some extra time, got one of the busiest weeks coming up next week that I have had for a long time. I'll post when I get to it tho.

Warranty may be the key word after all. Good thing season doesn't start in a couple weeks, huh?

Your excused Wlscott but you really don't need to be. "They" (the business establishment) have beat that cynical attitude into all of us over the years haven't they?....<><....
