Lube & Size Dies
« on: April 30, 2004, 03:17:44 AM »
I have just learned of a source for lube and size dies for calibers not made by major companies.  Robert Stillwell will make any die you need for $34.00 plus $5.00 shipping.

10937 Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, TX  78638
Phone: 830-639-4752

He has just moved.  Said he would have his shop up and running in about ten days.  He was recommended by NEI Handtools, a company that specializes in manufacture of bullet molds in El Paso, TX.

Lube & Size Dies

Last week I got tired of waiting for him to re open his shop and make me a .433 die for my Ruger SBH. So I chucked it up in the lathe, used a carbide boring bar, and opened it up myself. I polished it a bit with some sandpaper wrapped around a dowel, made a new ejector pin to the proper size, and I was done. I was suprised at how soft those dies are; I had no trouble cutting it and getting a good finish. For anybody who needs a custom size and has a lathe, go for it - they work great!

BTW, you can find Stillwell at www.sizingdie.com as well.
