Hello Bob, sounds like you have been going at it pretty good. I sure would like to see some pictures of your stuff. Can you take some digital shots and put them up here for all of us to enjoy? I am like you, it don't have to be original, just make racket!

Welcome Badger Bob,

Glad to have you.  We all have our own purpose for making these guns.  I like to study the history surrounding the guns, it is really fasciniating.

I make my guns to appear "old style".  But if the truth be told, Jim has probably hit closer to the truth, we make the guns to hear the racket!

Drop buy the Sticky posts at the top of the forum and you will find lots of useful information.

One thing you don't have to do is type all caps.  On the Internet that is considered yelling.  It's also hard to read.  Nowe there are a bunch of deaf ol' buzzards and buzzaradettes hanging out here, but as long we get out our bifocals on we can read just fine.

Post your pictures if you have them. We want to see your guns!

That means you'll fit in well here.  I spell it 'confusers'.

Lookin' forward to the pix.  - I use hunter's (it's free).  You'll find that posting pictures is about the toughest thing to do on the net.

I posted pics in GBO album. It's a hern 5/8 scale carronnade-1 1/2" bore x 25" long, some wheelchair wheels and some scrap 2x4 lumber.works out to about 1/2 scale.I'm lookin' for some 24" wooden wheels to replace others.I really liked the style of the carronade barrel with the reinforcing bands,I know it's not authentic but it will HURL a D cell battery.Bob

Bob,

I posted your pictures into your post from the Graybeard album.  This my be the solution for you guys who don't have a photohost.

Bob, go to your post and and click edit and you will see how I was able load your pictures.

What I did was to click on your picture in the album.  That opened a window displaying the picture.  I copied the URL from the adress line on the browser. looks like this. http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/phpbb2/album_pic.php?pic_id=19

I then pasted that address in your message.   I highlighted the address line then clicked on the Img button above the message window  that put IMG in square brackets [ ] at the front of the message and /Img in square brackets at the end of the message.  That tells the software to shoe your picture.

With expertise like that, you are a lot past callin' 'em "confusers".I'll try that when I get some pics of my mortar.
