Are Encores in short supply?
« on: January 08, 2003, 02:59:43 PM »
Know a guy a work that just ordered an Encore from a small gunshop.  They told him it would be 8 months before he got it?  Is T/C behind in Encore orders also or is this shop giving this guy a line of BS.  By the way, he had gift certificates to the store so just going somewhere else is not a good option.

Sounds like BS to me.....When I was looking around for an Encore I had several shops tell me that they could not find any.....I got real  But, I found out they just did not even call around for me....THAT PISSED ME OFF TO NO END.

Encores in Short Supply

There is some encore barrels in short supply because T/C spented most of last year making Omega's and black power guns. Most small gun shops buyes only complete guns by a complete gun order numbers. They will not order parts or complete guns and break up a set to get a frame. Encore frames are available but you may have to buy a different gun to get a frame and buy the barrel seperate and put it togetheir. Most shops will not do that for you because they do not have the volume of Encore sales to move the extra barrels. They don't want their money tightup in stock that moves slow. Some don't look very hard for you. My two cents, Twyman

If you really want one check gunbroker  just type in Encore, they have some on the sight you just have to have a local dealer to send it to.  I just bought mine New years eve at a local gun shop they had it there.  Another one said they could get it for me in a few days.

I know why they are in short supply of encores. The reason is T/C is  in the middle of production of the G-2 contender so they can make the spring dead line for us eager T/C fans  :-D  :-D  :-D  :D  :D  :-D

I was just at a local shop in S.E. PA looking for a Contender barrel, and saw three or four Encores in the case. Don't know if they have any more in stock. Funny thing about this store, I recently bought their last Contender frame because they had it on sale. It seems that no other shops had or have these frames, yet this place was running a sale on mine. If anyone wants the name and location of the shop just send me an e-mail.
