"DeadWood" and Cowboy Action Shooting...
« on: May 06, 2004, 06:29:39 AM »
Everytime I find HBO's DeadWood series on TV I am angered by the

language and actions generated by Hollywood's rendition of how the west

really was...Is this just me or do others find this appalling to a time in

history when values were not degraded as Hollywood would like us to

believe. Are we a product of what "Gay" Hollywood say's they were or we

are ..or do we actually stand on  beliefs that have "value" together that

there was honor to those fine individuals that preceded us into this

world.      ...Norm McLaury

Times were tough and the people even tougher, there was as many with out honor as with and many cussed to high heaven...

But it's not historicly correct and I don't hear that much swearing at my job on an oil rig!  It realy is a distraction and ruins what could have been a great show.  I wouldn't mind the swearing if they would use swear words that they used back then, not 20th century cussing.

I think I've watched about 30 minits total, but the excessive and INCORECT cussing killed it for me.

Good thread Hamp.
