I'm still trying to shoot my first card. I took the 22lr out with Rem high velocity shorts, a round I tried at 25 yards last year and put out a quarter inch group. Today, not so good, .5" at 25 yards, vertically strung. But with a target scope and I thought maybe the parallax on the 6-18x non-rimfire scope at such a short range might be opening it up a bit, last year I just had a 4x on it. I could see some cross air movement on the rest, so I still had hope the .5" group might carry out to 50 yards. But not much.....
At 50, over 3" and all over the place. The little short just couldn't hold it together....
I have some stingers laying around to try, and that's probably what I'll enter. They shot better than the win bulk pack ammo I also have. Unfortunately I don't have time to stop on the way to or the way home from work this week to pick up some match stuff.
So, since I have no way of winning the 22LR, I'm just going to enter my hunting loads for both the lr and mag. 22lr stingers and 22 win mag black box.
Over the summer I'll run the 22lr through the paces and see what it likes/dislikes and try to give you a run for your money DJ. But for a few months now I have had turkey hunting on the brain, gobble gobble! :wink:
