Glock Model 23 13 round magazine sticking
« on: May 11, 2004, 02:03:49 AM »
I have a Glock 23 in 40 S&W and I notice that when I load the magazine with 13 rounds, it seems to swell a bit on the sides and it is difficult to load into the handle.  When there are only 5-6 rounds in it, it slips in easily.  Any ideas on how to lube the magazine or reduce this problem?

You might try silicone spray, This is not going to be much help as i had the same problem with my mod 22s untill i got some new mag's. Even after i sprayed them  they were still  sticky. Good luck sir....Joe.....

I am not sure that the spray will help - and may be more of a hindrance. I have 8 - 15 rounds magazines for the Glock 22. If I load them to the 15 rounds - everyone is harder than heck to insert fully into the magazine well. Removing 1 round will let it slide right in. I just keep 14 rounds in all of them and ad-void the 15th round.

Armorall for cars will slick it up some and not be as messy as silicone. You probably have all polymer mags, another option is to get some steel lined mags.
