Web site for gun values?
« on: May 11, 2004, 05:13:58 AM »
Does anyone know of a website that gives 'blue book' values for guns?

I'd appreciate it if anyone could direct me to a sight that doesn't charge for such information.

I've done a search and haven't found a site that does what I want it to.

Thanks.

I'm sure if you post a question here on the value of your gun, someone will look it up in their blue book for you.

That said, it's still what someone will give for it and what someone will take.

What brand gun is it? There are lots of sites out there for specific brands of guns. I know for sure there is a Colt site and a Smith & Wesson site, I believe there is even a Ruger site. I would suggest going brand specific, because a lot of the collectors tend to hang on the brand specific sites, and since they are collectors, they usually have a very good knowledge of what a particular guns value might be. If they don't know off hand they will have access to the blue book of gun values.
