Hogue stock on K98 - any opinions?
« on: May 11, 2004, 05:21:52 AM »
I'm thinking about getting a Hogue overmolded stock for my K98 (already sporterized, so the preservationists can rest easy). They look to be of good quality and have good reviews at Midway. I want my stock to be good for accuracy in a hunting context. It needs to be medium weight in order to handle the recoil of the 8mm without too much shoulder punishment. I've shouldered some rifles at gun shows with Hogues and they seem to be moderately heavy, not too light for my needs.

Anyone had any experiences or have any opinions before I take the leap?
There is no more humbling experience for man than to be fully immersed in nature's artistry.
