Did you ever buy/borry/steal something to use in SASS that turned out not to be what to thought it was or wanted?
...curious minds want to know....

A winchester 94 rifle in .357. Turned out not to be reliable.
A straw hat, looks goofy on me.
A bowler hat, was too small for me.
A pair of boots, hurt my feet.
That's about it.... so far!

A pair of birdshead grip main match guns. Looked nice, but weren't practical (for me) for extended shooting sessions.

"Sorta" the wrong gun. When I was learning about SASS I figured I had the rifle already: Marlin .357. But it was the 18 inch barrel and would only hold 9 rounds. Went on and got a Marlin Cowboy that would hold 10.
Then found out that I could shorten the spring and get 10 in the 18 inch one.
At least I had a good reason to buy the second one (at least at the time  )
