Could you rechamber a 30 carbine baRREL TO 762X25 CALIBER?
Just wondering if there was a cheaper way other than full custom to get a barrel in that caliber(762x25)

.....A 7.62x25 with a  really long neck like a 30-30 Winchester, to seat really long hard-cast bullets....200 gr.  An extra long throat in the barrel with a 1 in 10 twist and a European style .310 bore instead of .308.  I think this would make a really nice 16" Carbine.
....make it count

If the 30 carbine barrel is out could I use a 32 H&R magnum barrel to convert? Its a 308 dia contender barrel and 10" bull the 762x24 in a solid no gap 10" barrel should be a real screamer and do a number on any small critter you use it on. what you guys thing and who would you recomend to do the rechamber, and remark barrel. I want good accurate but not bank breaking I am on a limited fixed income now. thanks

mabe an insert in a 30-30 barrel? accuracy may suffer, but it would be cheaper than a custom barrel.
