Have any of you noticed if the moon phase affcts the hogs movement? I would think hunting on full moon nights would allow better visibility and prep time before hitting the lights; unless hogs, like some other varmints, don't move as much on a full moon. What do you think?

The majority of my hog hunting is during a full moon.  The move plenty.  I like hunting by the light of the moon because you don't need lights.  I prefer not to pack around all the bulk of lights and batteries.  With a 3/4 moon or better and a decent scope, you can shoot without lights.  I tell you, sneaking up on a nice boar on the ground with no lights is a kick in the shorts!

I use my binoculars to find them out past my scope's capability and then sneak up on them until I get a comfortable shot. Right a dusk, I put out soured corn about 100 - 150 yards out.  This seems to always pull them in. You would be amazed at what your eyes can see w/ a 3/4 - full moon.

When it's a full moon, or close to it, then don't even think about hunting hogs during the day - they just won't move.

Last year, I hunted around a full moon (or actually 3/4 or so).  We placed out corn during the morning.  It was still there during the afternoon, and right before night fall.  The next morning, there were hog tracks everywhere and not a single kernel of corn left.

The only problem I have with hunting hogs at night under a full moon is that the deer lease where I hunt won't let us hunt at night.  I'm sure that if we were allowed to hunt during the night under a full moon, that I would surely harvest a nice hog.
