Some Interesting Questions/Thoughts
« on: May 16, 2004, 07:04:18 PM »
Ok guys i always here you fellows talking about how bad it would be even for one second to have a barrel shorter than 16" attached to the frame along with a stock.  But really now what officer in there right mind is going to arrest you for this violation; i mean if you are commiting a serious crime with such a combination i could see where this might get added in along with the rest of your charges.  But all I'm sayin is i don't see any harm in attaching a barrel less that 16" to the frame with a stock. I mean at the most i think the officer would inform you that its illegal to have this firearm arranged that way and tell you to fix it.  But mostly i really can't see any kind of officer giving you any problems solely because your barrel is to short, i mean afterall its illegal while driving to make a right hand turn without giving the proper turning signal but we still do it everyday and i haven't gotten a ticket for it yet, and certainly haven't been arrested for it.

Are you serious?

Give Randy Weaver a call and ask him what kind of problems you can have by having a gun with too short of a barrel.

All it takes is one person to say something and be overheard for the ATF to show up at your door to arrest you and you will never own another firearm as long as you live.
Then the rest of us have to worry about a new law being passed that confiscates our weapons as possible law breakers.
If you can't act responsibly then you don't deserve to have the guns but the rest of us don't need your childish attitude to endanger our legal use of our guns.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
