what is a good load for coyote,bobcat, without tearing up fur

What range are you going to be shooting the most? A ballistic tip or JHP is good beyond 100 yards, hole in, no exit. But under 100 yards it really tears them up alot of times. PSP's (pointed soft point) are more consistant. They don't blow a big exit hole with closer shots but you also get alot more exits above 100 yards.

I use Win 45 grain varmint packs but most of my shots are now under 100 yards so I'm thinking of changing to Rem 55gr PSP's.

I don't shoot any factory rounds anymore. I do hand load 55gr Hornaday SP's and they work very well on coyotes. I think that most soft points would work well.

Hi all your soft point bullets will work i am a BT man but the fur isnt very good in Ark on the Coyotes VM

Before i was reloading my own i would shoot Foxes with the cheap Wichester 45gn HP (white Box of 50 rounds) .I would use these for your Yotes. Fur Damage was'nt too bad with a little Fox. so it should be even better with a bigger animal.
