Hey varmit_master, From what little amount that I have worked with them.  Nosler is a little (note a little) more accruate. To myself the V-Max will blow a bigger hole. The transfer of energy is unreal.  I mannly shoot varmits with a 270 110grV-max 48.5 gr Varget. its about 3175+/- fps 100yd groups 1 3/4 to 2 1/4"  When it's a hit WE TALKING BIG RED HALO!!!

I shoot a 22-250AI and I use the 60 grain vmax.  It makes a large hole, but since I don't do anything with the skins, I don't care.

Nosler vs Hornady

They are both going to do the job. Load up some of each and see which one shoots better out of your rifle. I never once had a yote look at me and say " Hey, that exit hole is smaller than the exit hole on my buddy over there!" 8)

I'm also guilty of using a 300wby on yotes. I had loaded up some 180 grain nosler partitions and wanted to see how they performed. Hole? Looked like a train wreck!
