« on: May 22, 2004, 07:50:03 AM »
anyone have any experience with these guns?  I have never heard of this gun. What are their rep's? good? Bad? re-sale value? How dependable are they etc...

Thanks

If you're asking about Para-Ord in general, I believe they're very good guns. I've got a P12-45, and it'll shoot anything I put into it with hardly a hiccup. Mags will occasionally missfeed if you let them get dirty, but otherwise never a failure of any kind in 7 years, and two gunsmiths I talked to agreed. As far as brands go, I think they're great. :D

I traded off my Glock and passed on a Colt to get my Para 12/45. This little .45 will put every round exactly where I aim. Mine really likes Gold Dot +P 185's (advertised at 1100 fps) the best. I got several 12 round and several 10 mags with mine. All function 100% in the 500-600 rounds I'v put through it. It is now my main carry choice and when I buy another handgun it will be a Para. From my view I rate the Para a solid 10.

:cb2: I don't own one (yet), but I have fired them and really like them. There is a slight difference in the feel of the full sized .45 models and the .40s. There is a sharp little edge were the .40 magazines and grip fit together that is not there on the .45s. I'd go with the .45 for that, and that I just like a .45 over a 40. 1911 purists may hate them, but I want one of the small LDA carry models.
