Enhance the Encore pistol sights

I'm thinking I want to enhance my front and rear sights on my 12" .44 Mag SS with a more distinctive outline or color.  Not saying I want an expensive custom job nor to replace everything--just thinking about bright color paint or luminescent adhesive that could be used.

Has anyone done anything really neat like this and how did you go about it?

You will find that colored sights will wash out in bright daylight and will also give you slower target acquisition.
