Custom scope work
« on: May 24, 2004, 07:00:40 AM »
So I called ABO (thanks to quickdtoo for the tip) and found out that they do custom work on scopes.  They can change the parallax setting on non-adjustable models for just about any brand of scope.  The fee for this is $38.  Their work has a 90 day guarantee.  They purge it with nitrogen when they re-assemble it.  The only problem is the wait.   Their website says 8-10 weeks, but the lady on the phone told me 10-16 weeks.  So I guess it could be anywhere from 2 to 4 months, depending on how busy they are.  As long as you don't need it right away, at least custom work is available.

They used to be the official warranty repair place for Redfield and Tasco.  They no longer are, but they still service those brands and all others.  Does anyone have experience with ABO?  Any comments on their work?
