Virgin Valley Kelvar Stock
« on: May 26, 2004, 02:15:12 PM »
My V V Kevlar stock came in after a 4 month wait.  I must say it was worth the cost which was equivalant to the price of a complete encore with both barrels.

We have to hunt with slug guns where I live so I got a Kevlar butt stock with 2 forends; one in 12 gauge and one in 209x50.  Got tired of the wood cracking (twice) so I went with Kevlar.

Fit and finish are exceptional.  Stainless steel grip cap with V V C G stamp was a real nice touch.  Raised cheek piece and hand grip are outstanding.

Weight with 24" barrel in 12 gauge is now UNDER 6 pounds.  In 26" 209x50 it's 7.4 pounds.  Decelerator butt pad is great but recoil is still punishing in 12 gauge.  Not so bad in .50 cal with 2- 50 grain Triple 777 pellets and a 240 grain slug.

Well worth the wait and the cash.

Email sent.

The stock has a raised cheek rest.  The photo I sent will show this.
The stock measurments are very different than a factory TC around the pistol grip area also.  I sold my TC replacement walnut stock so I can't compare.

Thanks for the help.
