357 Max Dan and the 38 special
« on: May 27, 2004, 02:53:58 PM »
Hi Guys,

Can alot of 38 special target loads be used in the 357 Max Dan
without any harm being done?
I'm talking 148 grain lead wadcutter at 830fps.
The special is very short in the cylinder but I don't see how it
would cause any harm.

Thanks and Take Care
give me calm,hot days

The only problem you might run into is it will build up a ridge in the cylinder's after time. Then you have to make sure you clean this ridge out when you shoot a longer cartrige, or you will have trouble extracting them. That's assuming you can get them in there if you shoot alot of .38's.
