I went to Barns & Noble today and picked up a copy of "The Complete Guide to Hunting Wild Boar in California".  If you are a California pig hunter (or a wannabe California pig hunter) you may want to pick up a copy if you have a spare $15 on hand.

dusty, how do you hunt them in Calif.? I've only hunted em in Texas. I've used stands over bait, dogs, and spotlights/scopelights. never been to California but I'm guessing its not as thick as the south Texas brush I'm used to, so do you spot and stalk, stand hunt or??? Just curious.

I used to belong to a club that leased land for hunting and most of it was a mixed bag of open country, bush, and trees.  I think the overwhelming method here is spot and stalk, that's what I use and from what I've read that's the most successful approach.
