Browning A-5 patent Savage

I know they are not worth as much as far as re-sale goes, but are the Savage semi- autos built on the Browning patent as durable and same quality as the A-5?? Same question about the Rem. model 11 Browning Patent. Thanks for any feedback.

I think if the levels of use/abuse are the same failures will be nerly the same.  The Brownings tend to be a bit more decorative and the wood a bit higher grade but the reason for the higher resale value is probably more in the name..  That said the Savage variant with the alloy receiver has a few more issues than the rest.  These shotguns were more using guns than perhaps the brownings and they come thru time with more abuse than some A5s..  These are just my humble opinions about what is probably the best shotgun design every made.  John Browning was a very remarkable man.  Name another who has so many designs still in manufacture and widespread use today..
