Hows the predator hunting going?
« on: January 10, 2003, 04:11:30 PM »
Just wanted to pass along that the "Yotes" seem to (finally) be more receptive to the hand call now. I managed to call two of them in a week ago in two successive stands and then hit a lynx Monday! Are things picking up for you fellers in other parts of the state? Things here on the Kenai seems to be working now!

I would really be interested in reports on fox.

best,
bhtr

ps. generalizations are fine...I'm not asking for secret locations...but if you've no objections...

I have noticed more over here than any part of AK that I have been in.  Problem though, you can't hunt within so many miles of town so they run free.  On other columns I have noticed posts that the coyotes are responsible for goat and ram declines. They certainly were for the fawn population back in NY.

I haven't been able to get out.  With 10 feet of snow over here I am just trying to keep up with our less than average snows. :)
