What is the best bait using the Carolina rig?

I use Zoom lizards...usually watermelon green..in clear water and the brighter green in stained, I think chartruse (sp) pumpkin...

You can C-rig a lot of things.  Probably the number one thing is a Lizard, usually 4 to 6 inches.  Other than that, I've had success with flukes and even crankbaits on a rig.

I started using senko type baits with a splitshot carolina rig but then I switched to a small brass weighted carolina rig with a brass bead for a clicker(noise) and it works awesome I caught a lot of bass this way after the post spawn when it slows down as the weeds are still growing.  This can be a tough time to fish.                            BigBill
