I killed a nice brown bear with a 275 grain Speer bullet. It worked pretty good. He was quartering twards me, and i shot him in the faceing shoulder, and the bullet broke that shoulder and excited out the opposite quarter of the bear. He turned to run away, and my second shot hit him just above his pooper and took out 12" of back bone and exited out through the top of the hide.
Fairly tough bullet, i'm not sure it would make a good "all around" bullet for the .338 though.
I shot the caribou in the picture with a 250 Sierra BT. It was the first version of the bullet, not the tougher "second version".
