What is the more popular 416, the 416 Remington or Rigby Mangnum for African hunting?

Rustbucket,

I have no idea which one is the more popular for hunting in Africa but I can tell you why I chose the .416 Rigby over the .416 Remington.

1.] The Rigby is more versatile when it comes to reloading than the Remington

2.] The Rigby operates at a lower pressure than the Remington

3.] The Rigby is just a classier cartridge than the Remington.

The .416 Rigby is enjoying a popularity resurgence at this time and it is looking like even Remington recognizes this as it looks like Remington is/maybe dropping it from their line. Small groups and tight lines to all. Lawdog

The Rigby is all class...and is available intwo fine rifles being the cz 550 and the Ruger Magnum. Norma make brass and the woodleigh 410 gr soft is a great bulletfor crushing game and if you want a flat shooting load Woodleigh also make a 340 gr protected point.

JJHack says the 416 Rem. Mag is the most popular in Africa, That more of the American hunters that go there are carrying Rem.s The Question he was answering was which of the 416s was the most popular in Africa.
