Should a Hunting rifle smallbore or High power be weighed with or without the clip?

They usually require that you have the clip in.

Just a small point but, it's a magazine not a clip.

Lucho,  you are right. Unfortunately I did not have my gun dictionary with me that day, then again if you factor where I am from, you should be happy you could read what I typed.

However, whether its a Clip, magazine, or a turd:  its all the same if the people talking about it understand what it is their talking about. :)

If I remember right,  we had this grammar correction on the "Silhouette Weapons" post.  I could care less, I knew what the guy was talking about.   In my opinion, these little pet peaves are not helping people to want to progess in this sport by asking questions.  In fact I think it probably offends more than it helps.  However, to each his own.

Some days I put a clip in my rifle/gun/weapon/firearm and some days it is a magazine.  Some days I drink a soda in my truck/pickup/4x4 and other days it might be a pop or a fountain drink or even a coke.  It's pretty apparent that we all know what the referenced object was.

A petty comment over a clip vs. a magazine does not seem to the wisest to make when trying to attract new shooters to your sport.

geez guys...  lighten up.  it is a magazine not a clip.  there was nothing derogatory in lucho's comment.  nothing nasty, nothing belittling.  Lucho even stated that it was a small point.  just clarification and accuracy.  it is possible that there are some of us that don't know the difference.  in that case Lucho graciously allowed us a moment of education that no one else here was willing to share.  these aren't pet peeves.  just folks attempting to be accurate and helpful.
