pics are on the way  thanks mike1  what  i enjoy doing now  is hunting  the  big ones  i  used  to  shoot  any pig   but now  i  look  for  the  hosses  i realize  there are bigger  pigs out  there  but  the  heck  you  have  to endure  just  to harvest one is almost unbearable even for the most dedicated   In east Tx  it  is  so  hot  and muggy  we  just  had rain  and  the  mosquitoes  are horrible to say the least.  throw  in  the  briars  snakes.   i  have  a  friend  who  is  on  the  leae  with  me  who hunts all  the  time  and  has  only  seen 1 pig   this  is  my 17th   to  take  off  this  place  since september  including a bruiser  that  went  around 400lbs

me  and  jasmine  my 8  yr  old  went  back  to  the  creek this  evening  to  check  things out  we had  a  companion  a  hound  came  with us   it  littlerally  jumped  fences  to come with us  as  we  was walkiing up  the  bank   the  hound  took  off  and  scattered pigs everywhich  way  i  heard  him  on  ones  tail  hot  and  heavy   but  i  couldnt  keep up  with  him  so  we  just  sat  on  the  creek  bank  about 15 min  later here  comes  that  dog  running  through  the  water  came  right  up  and  licked  us  right  in  the  face.  it  was  kind  of  neat  seeing  a  dog chase a  hog.  ive  never  thought  of  using  dogs  for  hogs,   but  that is now  a  thought.  my only  concern  would  be  the  dogs  saftey  i  couldnt   see investing  in  good  dogs  loving  them  working  with  them  and  realizing  they may  get  wounded or  killed.  maybe  just  a  bay  dog  or  something.   Tolars  ranch  also  lets  me  use  his  feist  dog   when  i take  people  squirrel hunting  now  that  is  one  highly intelligent  dog   the  dog  will  grab  ahold  of  vines  and  littlerally  swing  on  it  to  get the  squirrel  to  move,   have  you ever  seen  a  dog climb  a  tree?   this dog  does.  i  could  not  belive  it  when  it  sccoted  up  a  big  mast  oak.  after  that  me  and  jasmine  went  to  my lease  got  in  the  box stand  me  with  my 270 and  her  her  little 22 crickett  i  shined  my  optronics night blaster  on  the feeder and  we  watched  2  deer  eating   until my  battery went  dead.  so  it  was  a  great hunt  tonight for  me an  my  daughter.

yes  i  am  very fortunate  to be raising 2 daughters  and have  the opputunities  to hunt,  i  am  very thankful to god for that.   I  do help  the  ranch where  i  hunt   we  planted 2,000 pine trees  and  hay  season  is  fixing to start.  plus  i  will  help  him  build  some traps  and  repair fences as needed.  jasmine and  i  just  returned from  the  lease  we  trimmed  trees  put  out 6 sacks of corn  and  baited  my  trap  did  a  little  scouting  to  re-assure  i  am in  the  right place.  i  also  rigged  up  my  12  guage  with  a  varmit blaster night light  so  i  can  shoot  open sighted  at  pigs  i  set  a  stand  up 20  yards  away  as a bow  stand  i  am  going  to try  and  shoot  a  hog  with  a  12  guage  1 oz slug  and  compare  that  to  a  45-70
