Has the olympic commiottee changed it's tune......?
« on: June 14, 2004, 03:31:30 PM »
A couple weeks ago Rush and others reported that the olympic committee had hired some protocol nincompoop to "advise" them.
  His advice; that the USOC apparently has endorsed is: when a U.S. athlete or team scores or wins, American spectators are to remain solemn and NOT cheer or wave "Old Glory"...
   Has anyone heard whether the USOC has awakened yet; and changed that assinine idea?
  If they haven't....when does the letter writing and boycott start?

I believe you'll find that the thinking behind it is that staying low key might disuade the terrorists from actually lighting the fuse and throwing the bomb into the crowd.

Will that strategey actually work?  Damifiknow........

Antlurtz;
  I guess that's the way the new Spanish president looked at it also...lol

  Actually; I have never been greatly enthused about the network coverage of the olympics anyway!
   When is the last time you saw any substantial, or even worthwhile coverage of the shooting sports?....Their Brady-bias is quite obvious!!!

Kinda reminds me of the pacifists and their thinking that leads them to believe that if they are nice to the enemy and don't speak ill of him, he will understand and not harm them.

Or the thinking of the far left wingers here who try their best to "understand" Al Queda, when in actuality, Al Queda literally HATES their left wing agendas and EVERYTHING they stand for, and would happily kill them at the drop of a hat.
