J.P. Sauer & Sohn (Germany) used to make their "Western Marshal" (brass grip framew/blued steel barrel & frame), "Silver City Marshal" (nickle plated), and blued steel single action revolvers. Calibers were .22 LR, .22 WRM, .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .45 Colt. This was in the middle-late 1970's. They were imported by some outfit in Los Angeles, California, long out of business.
They resembled the Colt Peacemaker, but used frame-mounted firing pins and had larger cylinders to handle .44 Magnum. We called them "poor man's commemoratives".
No special or collector's value as far as I know. The few that I had shooting access to quickly developed "hair triggers" and excessive cylinder/frame slop. They were okay shooters, but the Colt quality (and price) wasn't there. I would buy one today just for nostalgia value.
Price is probably comparable to bottom-end Italian Pietta/Uberti single action clones ($150-$250) available today.
