hey   ...lol sup?  well congrats...I love those guns....good luck making the mods.....

  I must admit I alwayz found the bayonet helped to stabalize me...always got tighter groups with it out.....,but that is just me,lol and I am weird..oh hey let me know if you find a better scope mount than the ones out there....I wanted to mount a scope also...,but like you didn't care much for the ones I see all the time/....well anyway good luck I am gonna go,,I am rambling,......I just saw your post,and was like I got to say something....I really love those guns.......did I ,mention I loved em...lol...I know I am an addict...

Congrats on the mosin purchase the market is flooded with them right now as other supplies military guns are drying up we still have these that are still affordable shooters. As far as the scope mounts you guys are right I hate all the options we have but on another site i seen a scope mount that looks almost orginal its a weaver side monut #1 the number i can hardley make out it looks like #48401 i'll have to check it out more. But its the way to go for a mosin mount.             BigBill
