MBM Co. WZL Rimfire Barrel

I have an Encore (do not own a Contender) and would like to have a .22LR barrel.  It seems most of the custom gun makers use a replacement breech face and firing pin to convert the Encore to rimfire.  I was wondering, does anyone make a .22LR barrel that is bored off-center so that the regular Encore firing pin would strike the cartridge rim?  I am not a machinist but this would seem to be an simpler solution than manually changing the firing pin.  Is this possible or is anyone already doing this?

I visited the MBM Co. website and it appears they do offer an offset rimfire barrel for the Encore although the website offers very little information and no photos of barrels.  Does anyone have any experience with the "Encore WZL Rimfire Barrel" offered by MBM?  MBM barrels in general? Photos?

    I have the first one Mike made, it's marked 22lr Match Prototype "No Adapter".  Mine is a 20 inch bull barrel.
It shoots fantastic and it fits the frame pretty good.  No slack or wobble. You can't hardly notice any gap at all along side of the frame. It likes the cheap Wally World ammo. It shoots better at 100 yds than most of my rifles do at 50 yds. Mike uses no reamers when he cuts the chambers and they all turn out super nice, at least the ones he has made for me. Give him a try.

Steve,  thanks for your comments.  I am trying to get a better idea of how this barrel is made and what it looks like.  I am assuming the barrel is bored off-center of the rifle blank, is that correct?  How is the rifle balance with a bull barrel?  Any photos?

The barrel is bored on the center, it just uses an ever so slightly taller block or under lug, or whatever you want to call it. I can get a pic or 2 this weekend. It is fantastic to switch from centerfire to rimfire without having to change the breech block.

Steve,

That would be great if you could get a photo or two - I am just having a hard time imagining how everything lines up.  I am assuming your barrel is an untapered bull contour?  Does the standard heavy barrel forearm fit?
