Alaska-bound in a week
« on: June 16, 2004, 06:12:06 AM »
Well, this deployment to the kitty-litter-box is darned near over  .  I'll be back with the missus and kids in a week ("kids, go outside and play -- mom and dad are gonna go upstairs wrestle...be back in two minutes" ).

I leave for my next assignment at the Pentagon a week after I return :( , but hope to get back to Alaska sometime for another black bear/griz or caribou hunt.  Dang it -- I aint even home yet and already I miss the place.

Well maybe next spring you can come on back up for a black bear hunt.

Glad the tour is almost over and your comming back safely. I am sure that Tundra Walrus will be glad to see it is over.

Glad ya made it.

If I can make it to Valdez in the Spring...I'm there.  If you need to thaw out this winter, there'll be a guest room for you in Stafford, Virginia.

The Tundra Walrus is looking forward to the drive back to "the states."  She never did buy into the argument that Alaska really is a part of the US.  I told her that a walrus will look out of place in Florida (her family's there) and she 'bout knocked me out with a sweep of her mighty flipper.

We're gonna be looking around the whole trip to CO, FL, and VA.  I'm gettin' itchy to put down some roots and get a grown-up job.  Time to buy a little piece of dirt to call home.
