I have not used that model but have a 4x32 Simmons on a Marlin Model 60 and have a 6.5-20x50 Whitetail Classic on my .223 Handi that used to be on my Sportster in .17 HMR. Both Scopes have given me fine service with no complaints. I first saw a Whitetail Classic used and it seemed to have fine Optics but the price seemed a bit high at $85.00 plus tax. I was able to buy the same scope new for $99.95 Plus shipping. It is a fine scope with a great guarantee. Next time I may spring the extra $10.00 bucks or so and try the Whitetail Expedition. I don't know how they can make them better but for the $10.00 I'd like to see. I recommend them....<><....

I have several Simmons scopes but none in the magnification your wanting....I have a 3-9 Wally World Simmons on a 45-70 and no problems to date. Before adding weight and a mercury recoil reducer to the stock I have shot loads that would loosen your filling in it too! Still on zero.....

The Pro-50 is a great buy for $50 if you want the big 50mm optics. At 2.5x, you have a big 3/4" beam of light coming out the back of the scope. Too bad your eye can't open up far enough to receive all the light. If you want to use it at 7x or above at dusk, the big lens will help.
I had 8 or ten of these things a few years ago, all were optically fine. The ones I had were made in the same Phillipine factory as the Whitetail Classic and 44mag. Only one had ring dents, but most of them showed marks where the rings had been.

I've been happy with my Simmons Pro on my 223 Ultra.  I got the adjustable objective lens, which is a feature I occasionally forget to use. It is handy for shooting PDogs at various ranges through the towns.
