I have used the optronics 100 for nite shooting and found I can shoot quite well out to 75 yards or so with out the red lens. with the lens on my range is greatly diminished.  How far are you able to shoot with the 250 or 350 models with the red lens on.  I find that you have No time to mess around with out the lens , ust point and shoot. i'm hoping a bigger lite with the red lens would give a person more range and time to aim?  Thanks
Mike

Hey  Mike   i  have  the  250 model  and  my  friend has  the  350   on  mine  i  can  see  about 100 yards  with  the  red lens  with  the  350  Andrew  says   he  can  go  another  25  yards  or  so.  the  main  thing  is  using  a decent  scope   so what  we  dop  now  is  we  buy  the  under water green  lights  that  attract baitfish  hook  them  up to  a  12 volt battery,  you  can  see  a  good  20 yards  around  the  feeder  i  had  the  100 compact  and  i  loved  it   but  with  the  red lend   as  you  stated  it  is  hard  to  see   I  bought  4 extra  6 volt batteries  and  extra pigtail connections  from optronics  as  i  am constantly  turning  mine  on  and  off   you  get  around  28 continuous minutes   of  usage  out  of  them   so  what  i  do  is  i  wait  till  i  hear  grunts  then hit  the  switch, but  as  you  know  most  big  boars  you  never  hear coming  unless  you  hear  a  crack  of  a  stick  or  something

thanks Howie. If you can get that kind of range with the red lens, I guess its time for me to upgrade
