About a week or so ago I talked  to them and they said gun production would start in June or July . I wold like to see one. :?

Cool. I was looking at the ballistic properties and really liked what I saw. Almost 22-250 velocities but 223 powder charges.

I read the recoil is a third of the 223 and you don't lose sight picther when you touch it off.

I don't see how you could have 1/3 the recoil of a .223 when you have all the powder of a .223 and more velocity, even if you used a 5 grain bullet, unless you are comparing guns of different weight.

recoil momentum = bullet mass x velocity + powder mass x (2 x bullet velocity)

Recoil energy = recoil momentum x recoil momentum / recoil mass

The above is based on the assumption that the powder is ejected at twice the bullet's velocity, but it seems to match up well with observed recoil, so it must be a fairly accurate assumption.

I just hope they don't limit the .204 to a 22" barrel like they did with the 22-250.

I am sorry it was 25 percent less recoil than the 223. Just stating what I read in Shooting Illustrated can't prove it one way or the other. :-D
