Stainless Bearcat
« on: June 23, 2004, 11:11:25 AM »
My gun guy just called and said he just got in a stainless Bearcat. I've lost intrest and funds since I inquired last year, but if these are difficult to get a hold of I will grab it up. I origonally wanted the pistol because my son was born in '02 the first year offered in the SS Bearcat. But, since he wont be shooting handguns for a couple more years would it better to wait and save money, or splurge and get one while I can?

 Thanks Matt

Your first idea was the best one.  Buy it, take it out and shoot it, you'll love it.  When he is old enough, teach him to shoot with it.  When he leaves home on his own, give it to him.  He will value it because it was yours and you taught him to shoot with it.  Follow what your heart tells you rather than practical thinking.  Bought one a few years ago, love it.  Wanted one back when I was in my twentys but passed on it.  They were $37.50 then and I paid $200 for this one and that is much less than they sell for.  You'll never regret it.  44 man

I have a blue model!  It's as accurate as my Single Six!  I absolutely love this little pistol!  It goes with me in the woods all the time.

Gentlemen,
During the 50s & 60s i was doing a lot of trapping and carried the little Bear cat as my constant companion, Its one of the neatest little revolvers ever made, I would tell you all some of the things i have done with it but you would not belive me, any way just had to have my say, I love my little bear cat it has ivory ( real ) ivory grips that was made for me with a little more grip, Meaning heavyer or thicker for my big hands.

Guys, thanks for the moral support.  I am going to get the Bearcat. Probably wont shoot it, going to save for the boy. Price is $319 these are the first SS Bearcats they have gotten. The first 3 of 4 are already sold. I am sure Gavin will love it when we decide he is ready.

 Thanks again,    Matt
