Looking into the Encore, if I by the pistol can I also bu the rifle butt to install to make a rifle as well? If so how hard is it and what parts are needed other than the butt?

Yes the Encore can be converted to a carbine but in addition to changing the stock you must use a barrel of over 16 inches. I am not sure the EXACT minimum length but do know you can't use a long gun stock and a handgun barrel.

:-) Dogshooter is correct. The ATF website has the rules spelled out on what a legal rifle is. I swap mine all the time depending on what I intend to do with it at the time.

16 1/4" is the absolute minimum barrel length..when someone mentions a 16 " barrel it actually measures 16 1/4".

Yes Sir..You can choose from 28 guage (my favorite),20 guage(rifled and smooth bore) and 12 guage (rifled and smoothbore)..they even make a turkey model available from Fox Ridge Outfitters...www.foxridgeoutfitters.com :grin:

Might as well just buy both. I liked my rifle so much I went and bought a pistol to match so I would not have to switch back and forth.

I'm sort of putting together my wish list for this year's purchase. I'm leaning towards a 410 shotgun for small game. I like the idea of the convertible stuff like the rossi, and also the over-under-rifle-shotgun combos.
