I have never loaded 270, but I will say I avoid Remington brass in other calibers.  I have had real problems with Remington in 7-08.
On the other hand, I havent bought any for over 5 years.  I prefer Winchester.

Remington works for me.

I have used Remington in my 300 Win - finally threw out some brass that I'd been using since the mid or late 80's and probably had 15 or more full house loads through them.  When I was experimenting with brands in my 06 the Winchester only lasted 5-6 loads while the Remington held up well to 10 loadings.  Remington brass has held up well for many loads in 41 mag, 38, 357 and 223.  Actually in the .223 I have had good results with Federal and Winchester too.

I suspect the Remington brass is thicker, and that is why it lasted longer.  The problem I mentioned with the 7-08 brass in the earlier post was with some new bulk Remington brass I purchased.  I bought 40, and about 6 if the first loaded rounds would not go off.  Just a slight ding in the primer, but no bang.  This happened with 2 different brands of primers.  Never had a problem if the brass was previously loaded since it was fireformed in the chamber. I had a gun smith check out the chamber and firing pin extrusion- the gun was fine. I mentioned this later to the guy at the gun shop I bought it from, and he said one of his buddies had also had problems with the brass.  The dimensions were not right.  I have never had a problem with new Winchester factory loads, or new Federal brass- just this batch of Remington bulk brass.  I just dont trust it unless I have fired it once in the rifle.  I think this was around 1994, not that recent.

Mid-Way has their 270 Norma brass on sale for about 50% of the regular price.   I will be buying some of that stuff for sure.   I've used mainly Federal and Winchester in my 270 with the Federal weighing about 10 grains more per case.   Lately the Winchester brass has been much more consistent in weight.   The Federal has been all over the place with weight.
