My sons bought me some 223 shells for Fathers day ( good boys ) they got the white box winnies but in 55gr FMJ (bad boys) any way I took them back to Wally-world and they have a no return policy on guns or ammo. Guess this is the first time I've tried to exchange either one and didn't realize it was the law, according to store mgnt . Makes me wonder where you stand if you have trouble with a gun you bought from them? By the way the 55grs grouped better than I hoped, had no trouble gettin very close to 1" at 100yds.
While we were shootin the handi my #2 son brought out his Vanguard in 7mm mag. He fired about half-a-dozen rounds off when he blew a lens loose in his scope. It WAS a 6x18 BSA and we were afraid it would'n't hold up to the recoil that cannon puts out. I'm not putting BSA's down completely, I have a sweet 17 on my handi 223 and so far I love it but I don't believe they are built well enough to handle a heavy recoil.
One more story and I'll quit ramblin on. The boys also gave me a Lohman site vise. Very nice for workin on a gun on the bench and tho not as good as bags it does pretty good on the shootin range. Problem with a handi is you have to unclamp to reload. Might be just the thing for a bolt 22 or 17.
Keep the info coming in, this is best site on the web for my money.
