one quick question . what is the heaviest bullet i can use in my 22-250 it's a remington 700 ADL with the factory barrel. i'm looking at a 69gr match

Most 22-250 factory barrels are a 1:14" twist. My 700VS is. A 55-60gr bullet is probably the heaviest you will be able to stabilize in that barrel. Any heavier and they will probably tumble. KN

KN is right, the chances of getting any accuracy out of your stock rem. barrel is slim to none, You will have to go to at least a 1in 10 and a 1in 8 would be ideal. If you are real serious you can have another barrel stuck on you gun, Then you could have any contour you wanted, Good Luck.

thanks for the info i think i will have my mauser actioned 22-250 re-barreled to a 1-9 224. and if i'm doing that i think i'll go with the 224 TTH if i'm going to use the heavier bullets 65-80gr i might as well use a cartridge that'll give me more velocity.
