.414 Supermag
« on: July 02, 2004, 12:39:55 PM »
Anyone out there loading for and shooting a.414 Supermag?  I just ordered a barrel from Ed's.  I would like to get some "pet" loads to look over.  Got quite a few from the Dan Wesson website..not much out there on the .414 Supermag.  Thanks ahead.

Check down at the Handgun Silhouette Forum.  The .414 started out as a round for that sport.

Spinafish.  I am in the same boat as you.  I also have a 414 supermag Contender and no loads yet.  I have 500 brass, but have not reloaded for it yet.  I had a Dan Wesson revolver long ago that fired the 414 SM.  It always seemed to be the most accurate of the "SuperMags".  I do have loads in my notes somewhere packed away before I moved here.  If you find some good loads, please post them here, and if I find mine I will post.  Thanks.  Mike.

Thanks Reed, I made a mistake in my grammer, I should have typed "I have 500 pieces of brass for the 414 SM", but the thought is appreciated.  Mike.
