Well if youve read my other post good news.....bad news you know that Im going to be in the market for a bow real soon. I know this is a topic that must come up frequently here, but I would like some advice. My birthday is in Sept. and Im hoping that gift cash, and what I can scrap together, can get me a decent bow that will last me for a looooong time (least I hope
.) Im hoping to scrap together about $300 to $350 for a bare bow and then add on accessories. One bow that fits the price range that caught my eye at the Archery shop was a PSE Typhoon. Anyone have experience with these? There were a few more PSEs that were not quite as fancy looking, but right at that price range I am looking at. Are PSEs good buys? The friend I went with to the shop (who is a 30+ year veteran of bowhunting/general hunting.) He told me that todays bows got so much technology into them that you really cant go too wrong, just only get better with price increase (I believe he hunts with a parker.) True? I know the guy at the shop wont do me wrong, so should I just go with his flow and trust he will lead me to a proper piece to lay down my money on? The shop had some used ones, but Im thinking of just getting a new one and hoping it will last me for years, many years. So can anyone give advice?
