Laser grip sights on a 1911?
« on: July 02, 2004, 08:23:12 PM »
Hi, I was just on a web sight checking out laser grip sights.http://www.crimsontrace.com/ Have any of you guys ever used them or have an opinion on them one way or another. I have a Kimber Royal, and I'm new to 1911's but I got to say I'm loving it.Taking my concealed carry class next week and looking forward to it.

Paul, although mine is on a revolver, ( a 2" 640 Smith), I love my Crimson Trace laser sight. I plan to get  one for my Colt Combat Elite & my Browning Hi-Power, as soon as my budget will permit. The thing to remember is you've gotta keep the gun steady on target, as that little red dot sure can wiggle, if you don't. That said, I can put all my shots in the center of the forehead of a human silohuette target, at 25yds, but the dot is visible far beyond that. My vote would be for the C-T laser. Good luck.jd45
