Can a scope be mounted on a 24" encore barrel w/open si

Hey, I am considering picking up a pal's encore.Wondering if a scope can be mounted on a 24" encore barrel w/open sights? It has a TC peep sight on the chamber/reciever(add on?) and a standard folding rear sight near the center of the forearm. The base of the"peep sight" is only 1 3/4".Are there enough mounting screws under this to mount a weaver type base?

You would have to take the peep sight off, but the holes are there for a scope base.

That is what I was guessing.Removed the peep sight today.Guess these encores have cantilevered scope bases like my NEFs do.
