i hope this is the right forum to post  this, but i figured  since  this  si  the  rifle  ill  use  for pig hunting maybe some people  would  find this interesting.  first  of  all  the  rifle  is a Remington 7400 308 winchester.  I always  put bottom of  the line scopes on my guns  due  to lack of funds lol  so  i  always  settle  on  either  the  29.00  tasco pronghorn   or  the 59.00 bushnell  i  have only owned 2 leupolds in my life  and  wondered  why  in  the  world  i  spent  the amount  i  did  for  them ( no offense to  the leupold lovers) but for  the price  i  could have a new rifle  so  for  the rifle  i  paid 250.00  the  rings  and  bases  cheap also  7.00  and  the  scope  is 29.00 so  for  less  than 300  i  have  a  gun  that  will  shoot  close  to minute of angle  at 100  yards  one  thing  i  always  do  is keep  records  of  every  froup  i  shoot  when  I  own  a  rifle  i  started  this  in  1990 and  i  have  tons  of  records  as  i  do a  fair  amount of shooting  my  point  being  is  that  sometimes  you  can do   with  cheap equipment  i  have  never  had  a  tasco  move  on  me  or  break   the  heavies  recoiling rifle  i  had  a  scope  on  was  a  NEF 45-70  and  after 500  rounds   never  changed  point of impact  i  figured  you  all  would  find  this interesting

Not a bad group for a semi.  I've thought about getting one for my daughter in .243, but keep hearing mixed reviews on the Remington 7400's. Seems to be a 50/50 split. Either folks love them or hate them. Those that have come to regret the purchase keep stating the problem with the rifle is that it jams quite frequently...

I had a 7400 for two seasons in 30-06. It had to be kept spotlessly clean or it would jam up. I tried several different factory loads and the best I could get out of it was 3 inches at 100 yds using Federal Premium with a 180 gr Nosler Partition. I gave up and went back to bolt and lever guns.

When purchasing the  gun, from a guy  i met off  Graybeards  who lives  close  to  me  I asked  him if  it  will at  least  shoot 2 inchy  groups  which  is  what  i was expecting  he  said  it  will  do  way  better  than that,  he  had  a 44  mag ruger  for  sale  and  that  after looking over  the  ruger  and  i looked  at  the 7400  i  took  the 7400  home with me  i love  the  rifle

Howie,
Good shooting.  I've never seen a 7400 that would do that.  Looks like you got a keeper.
Best,

Maybe 20yds, rifle dont shoot past that!!!! Naw she does shoot good, one of the more accurate 7400's Ive had, but not the most accurate. That was a 270 that I had 10yrs ago, let my dad take it for a while as I have a lot of rifles and he ends up hocking it!!!!! Oh well, he bought me a new one when he moved back.
